See Vista messages below for Instructions. Error "...not a valid Win32 application" occurs when you open a
downloaded file.
99.9% of the time this error is a
result of a dial-up connection corrupting the file. When the download takes a VERY
long time, the file gets corrupted and is not recognized as a Win32
application. If you have dial-up, either go to a computer with broadband
to download, save and copy the file to a jump drive or CD/DVD or ask us for a
CD. Either this or you have a Virus. To show common file types:
In My Computer select the specific drive (C:)>Tools>Folder
Options>View. Uncheck the block "Hide extensions for
known file types" Microsoft Vista:

the
file from its current location.
If Asked - You must click "Yes" to "install and run
DRIVE3E.exe from www.rec-tec.com".
NOTICE: If you elect
to run the installation file from its current location on the web, you may

we do not plan on registering this program with anyone. As an
alternative, you may download the program and run it from your own
computer. Either way, you will be downloading a file and the time is
the same.
(You may
also save the file to disk. This will let you save to a floppy which
will allow you to upgrade multiple computers from one download - Remember,
this is an UPGRADE, not the complete installation. DRIVE3E.EXE must be "run" as a program
in
order to extract DRIVE3.EXE
to the correct location - C\:Program

necessary to restart your computer to terminate the running copy.]
A WinZip dialog box will appear to let you "Unzip" the program to the correct location - C\:Program Files\DRIVE3. Click on "Unzip". This should take about a second. The DRIVE3 program may now be restarted.
